Wishing To Be a Warrior

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."

Carlos Castaneda

Look, you cannot wish to be anything, let alone a warrior. This is about action, not dreaming.

Now, I am all for making the dream you have in your head happen. Dreaming is what gets us to humans on Mars and curing cancer. But dreaming alone is just a nice thought.

So, you can be whatever you dream. This I know for certain. I know because I have dreamed many things and many of those have taken action to become realities. Never has any dream or wish I had come true without action of some sort.

One could argue that a dream or wish is an action. And maybe that is correct in that an action is made to think of the dream or wish.

Here's what I know. You want to have different life or circumstance, then you are going to have to haul your ass up and make it happen. Will it be easy or hard? How will you know if you don't do it.

One way is to get your ass to a New Warrior Training Adventure. Another is to sit in a ManKind Project weekly IGroup where real life men (not Hollywood caricatures) deal with everyday life and times.

Oh and one other thing....trying is not doing. Trying is tap dancing around doing.

I'm out.
